TAIPEI — Taiwan Economy Minister Wang Mei-hua said on Saturday she had received a letter from the White House on the global shortage of auto chips and Taiwanese semiconductor firms are “doing what they should” to address the problem. Tight chip supplies have caused problems for auto makers globally, who in some cases are having to curtail production. This week U.S. President Joe Biden’s top economic adviser, Brian Deese, thanked Wang for her efforts to resolve the shortage in coordination with the island’s manufacturers. Wang told reporters that she had received the letter on Friday night, adding she had previously met with local chip makers on the issue, referring to meetings she has held in recent weeks. “Going forward, manufacturers are doing what they should,” she said. Goodyear Tire & Rubber is acquiring Cooper in a deal valued at $2.5 billion that will combine the two century-old Ohio manufacturers. Hello, I know there are many threads on this - however I'm yet to find an answer to this question, either online or from my local retailer. I have a 66 plate XF S (3.0 V6d), the car has the new 10 inch infotainment system (with no buttons, touchscreen only) it also has the fully virtual dash. However the operating system (if that's even what its called) is similar to the older 7 inch infotainment system with the buttons down the side. I've been looking at a 2014 XF on an auction site and I notice that all the air vents are closed in all the photos even though the ignition is on and sat nav screen is illuminated. I've been considering upgrading my early 2.7 litre XF for one of the last of the X250 shape XFs with an electric glass sunroof - this is of course the relatively small sunroof as opposed to the panoramic roof fitted to the later model. I had a friend with a 2011 XJ and his panoramic roof was a nightmare, it constantly rattled and he was quoted thousands to replace the broken blind! My question is am I right in assuming that the conventional sunroof on the 2014 XF won't be rattly and...
