Evening All I'm picking up my new (to me) XF next weekend and I'm getting on with buying everything I'll need. I want a detachable towbar so an to not ruin the looks of the car, anyone got any recommendations before I buy an O.E one? I'll be fitting it myself. Hi all The low brake warning light has come on this morning in Amber, FYI , I have just had new pads & discs fitted all round so cant be low pads as they are all brand new !!!! I am thinking it has to be a damaged brakes sensor or something got disturbed whilst work was recently carried out as the wheels have been of a couple of times as the XF has has had new tyres & alloys refurb. I would appreciate a recommendation from forum members that have used a decent independent Jaguar... If you are thinking about replacing the front OE pads with EBC redstuff pads don`t bother,EBC do not have a suitable replacement pad as I found out recently. I ordered DP31912C pads for XF3.0D 2009> as listed but when fitted were offset by about 3mm.These may fit pre facelift 3.0D models I don`t know. Hi, I am about to become the new owner of a 2008 XF with 21,000 miles on the clock. Third service was done in April last year and it looks like the car has only done a few hundred miles since this date. Do you think I should do a service ASAP or can I wait until April next year ? I do around 6000 miles a year. Trying to decide who is the best person to service a XF looks like a minefield. With prices for a full service ranging from £250 to £450 depending on if a main dealer is used... Does anyone know the purpose of this little black Dome. It is quite inobtrusive but doesn't seem to do anything. It is not mentioned in the handbook and the dealer doesn't seem to have a clue either. I can't imagine Jaguar putting it there without a reason, it certainly doesn't add to the styling. Is it a legacy from earlier models.
