Exterior Mirror Glass Delaminating / Black Spotting
AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:
CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
Delaminating / black spotting may be present around the outside of the exterior mirror glass. This may be caused by electrical current leaking from
the heater mat onto the chrome. When water and current meet at the edge of the glass, causing the chrome to corrode and leaving the black backing
paint visible.
Action:
In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to replace the exterior mirror glass.
