Service Action: Rear Antenna Pod Cover
AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:
CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
A limited number of XJ vehicles may experience an issue with the retention of the rear antenna pod cover, located inside the vehicle near the rear
windscreen. The pod cover may become detached, fall onto the rear parcel shelf, and expose the antenna circuit board.
Action:
Dealers are required to HOLD the affected vehicles within your control and refrain from releasing the vehicles for onward distribution and sale
pending completion of the rework action detailed below. For cars in Dealer inventory, this Service Action should be performed in conjunction with

the vehicle Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI). For those vehicles already with customers, please perform the repair at the first available opportunity.

Always check DDW to verify that the vehicle is affected by this Service Action prior to undertaking any repairs, as some vehicles have been
updated prior to dispatch. Repair procedures are under constant review, and therefore times and prices are subject to change; those quoted here
must be taken as guidance only. Always refer to DDW to obtain the latest repair time.
Warranty claims should be submitted quoting the Program Code K062, along with the relevant Option Code. The Option Codes which contain
drive in / drive out and may only be claimed if the vehicle is brought back into the workshop for this action alone to be undertaken.
This Service Action is valid for a limited time only and will expire 31 October 2012. All Warranty claims prior to this date must be submitted for
payment within 30 days of completion of the repair.
Normal Warranty policies and procedures apply.
REPAIR PROCEDURE
REPLACE REAR ANTENNA POD COVER
1. Refer to Workshop Manual, section 415-01: Information and Entertainment System > Removal and Installation > Information and Entertainment
System Antenna Base, and replace the antenna cover only.
