VIN:
V00001 - V24464 (Standard wheelbase)
V00001 - V24700 (Long wheelbase)
Model Year: 2010-2012
CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
A noise may be evident from the Panoramic roof opening panel while driving over uneven surfaces.
NOTE:
To ensure there are no noises from the Panoramic roof, it is necessary to allow the Panoramic roof to move with the body as it twists rather
than try to constrain it as per the current design. For this reason, it has been determined that certain fixings should be rigid and others should
be free to slip. Where rigid joints are required, additional fixings have been supplied and the current fixings must be checked for correct
torque levels. Where free to slip, washers are required to prevent noise, but it is also important not to over-torque the fixings. Follow the
Repair Procedure outlined below to complete this procedure.
This may be caused by movement in the Panoramic roof joints when torsional inputs are applied to the vehicle, resulting in a stick! slip condition of
the joints. This stick / slip condition may result in noise generation.
Action:
In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to repair the Panoramic roof.
