Front Door Glass - Not Fully Closing / Wind Noise / Judder / Rattle

CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation: Various issues have been identified concerning the front door glass:
1. Glass not fully closing.
2. Wind noise from the top edge of the front door glass.

3. Rattle from front door.
4. Loose glass / regulator fixings.
5. Door glass operates slowly / judders / binds.
Action:
In the case of a confirmed customer concern of any of the above issues, adjust the positioning of the door glass within the regulator clamps to ensure
correct orientation and movement as it travels up and down within the run channels as per this Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
REPLACE DOOR GLASS REGULATOR HAMMOCKS
NOTE:
Global Technical Reference (GTR) lookup sequence is as follows: GTR Home > NAS > Model > Service Information > Model Year > Workshop
Manual
1. Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) section 501-11, Glass, Frames, and Mechanisms, and remove the door glass.
2. *Remove and discard the regulator hammocks from the glass clamps.*
NOTE:
Ensure the new hammocks are fully seated into the glass clamps.
3. Install new regulator hammocks into the glass clamps.
4. Inspect the positioning of the glass to see if it is not resting fully and correctly on the peg in the clamps. (Figure 1)

5. While carefully pulling the glass inboard to fully locate on the white support peg, ensure that the hammock is wrapped equally around both sides
of the glass, i.e. with the glass resting on the flat section of hammock. (Figure 2)
6. While still holding the glass in the correct position, tighten the front clamp to 8Nm (70lbf in). (Figure 3)
7. Repeat steps 5 & 6 for the rear clamp.
8. Operate door glass to check for full engagement within channel and correct functionality.
9. Reset the operational parameters of the window regulator:
^ Disconnect the window motor connector for a minimum of five seconds to clear the memory.
^ Reconnect the window motor connector.
^ Operate glass to the fully closed position; continue to hold switch in the "up" position for six seconds after closure.
^ Release switch and then hold in the "up" position again for six seconds before releasing
10. Reinstall the water shedder and door casing.
