Compliance RECALL: Incorrect Tire Pressure Placard Labels
AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
A potential compliance concern has been identified with the tire pressure placard label fitted to certain 2010MY Jaguar XF vehicles. A
number of vehicles have been manufactured with a specification of tire which potentially has a different tire pressure to that stated on the
tire placard label. Vehicles where the label does not have the correct tires pressures stated will not comply with the requirements of
Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 110 and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 110.
Action:
Dealers are required to update the affected vehicles within their control and withhold them from retail delivery pending completion of the
rework action. Refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to replace the tire pressure placard label.
PARTS:
Dealers will receive labels for each affected vehicle directly from Product Investigation free of charge by 7 August 2009.

Warranty claims should be submitted quoting the Program Code 'J014' together with the relevant Option Code 'B' or 'C'. This will result in
payment of the stated time. As Option Codes are used, there is no requirement to enter SRO information; these are displayed for
information only. The option that allows for drive in / drive out may only be claimed if the vehicle is brought back into the workshop for
this action alone to be undertaken. Refer to Service Bulletins 760CAN / 761USA for additional administration information.

REPLACE TIRE INFORMATION LABEL
CAUTION:
Use care to not damage the vehicle paint work when removing the label.
1. Using a suitable hot air gun and a plastic scraper, remove the tire information label from the lefthand (LH) Bpost. (Figure 1)
2. Using an adhesive remover, clean off any residual adhesive.
3. Install new tire information label to the LH Bpost. (Figure 1)
