Situation:
During engine startup, the Satellite Digital Audio Receiver System (SDARS) preset stations may be 'erased'. This may be caused by the
North Star chip processing routine.
Action:
In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to configure the *SDARS* module.

IDS with IDSDVD119_V8.06 or later and Calibration File 22 or later Jaguarapproved Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply

DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
*CONFIGURE THE SATELLITE DIGITAL AUDIO RECEIVER SYSTEM MODULE*
CAUTION:
A Jaguarapproved Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply must be connected to the vehicle battery during diagnosis / module
programming.
1. Connect the Jaguarapproved Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply to the vehicle battery.
NOTE:
IDS must be loaded with IDSDVD119_V8.06 or later and Calibration File 22 or later.
2. Connect the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) to the vehicle and begin a new Symptom Driven Diagnostics (SDD) session.
3. Follow the onscreen prompts, allowing SDD to read the VIN and identify the vehicle.
4. From the Session Type selection screen, choose 'Diagnosis'.
5. Select the Selected Symptoms tab, and then select:
Electrical > Information and entertainment system > Entertainment system > Audio > Radio loses preset stations
6. Select 'Continue'.
7. Select the 'Recommendations' tab.
8. *From the Recommendations screen select Run to configure the Satellite audio unit module'*.

Follow all onscreen instructions to complete this task.
9. Exit the current session.
10. Disconnect the IDS and the Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply from the vehicle.
