Satellite Digital Audio Receiver System: Loss of Pre-set Stations



AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:



CONDITION SUMMARY:



Situation:



During engine start-up, the Satellite Digital Audio Receiver System (SDARS) pre-set stations may be 'erased'. This may be caused by the North Star



chip processing routine.



Action:



In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to configure the *SDARS* module.

IDS with IDS-DVD119_V8.06 or later and Calibration File 22 or later Jaguar-approved Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply

*CONFIGURE THE SATELLITE DIGITAL AUDIO RECEIVER SYSTEM MODULE*



CAUTION:



A Jaguar-approved Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply must be connected to the vehicle battery during diagnosis / module programming.



1. Connect the Jaguar-approved Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply to the vehicle battery.



NOTE:



IDS must be loaded with IDS-DVD119_V8.06 or later and Calibration File 22 or later.



2. Connect the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) to the vehicle and begin a new Symptom Driven Diagnostics (SDD) session.



3. Follow the on-screen prompts, allowing SDD to read the VIN and identify the vehicle.



4. From the Session Type selection screen, choose 'Diagnosis'.



5. Select the Selected Symptoms tab, and then select:



Electrical > Information and entertainment system > Entertainment system > Audio > Radio loses pre-set stations



6. Select 'Continue'.



7. Select the 'Recommendations' tab.



8. *From the Recommendations screen select Run to configure the Satellite audio unit module'*.



^ Follow all on-screen instructions to complete this task.



9. Exit the current session.



10. Disconnect the IDS and the Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply from the vehicle.
