ISSUE
The main vehicle battery may be incorrectly diagnosed as being at fault, following
analysis or returned parts.
CAUSE
Multiple root causes
ACTION
To ensure an accurate measurement is obtained when using the Midtronics EXP-1080
Battery Tester, it is fundamental to carry out the process outlined below:
Carry out the battery condition check using Midtronics EXP-1080 tester as directed in
the user guide with reference to TOPIx Workshop Manual; Section 414-01 Diagnosis and
testing.
1. Check to see if there is a 19 digit battery return code displayed, if present go
to step 4. If a 14 digit code is displayed, go to next step.
2. Follow administration bulletin LAB00030v2, when complete go to next step.
