CONDITION SUMMARY
Situation: An issue has been identified where a squeak noise from the front suspension
when driving over bumps may be evident. This noise may be due to the front shock
absorbers.
Action: In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure
outlined below to replace the front shock absorbers.

DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal
part number with a quantity of zero.

Normal warranty policy and procedures apply .
REPAIR PROCEDURE
DIAGNOSE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER SQUEAK
1. Road test vehicle to confirm squeak noise is present.
2. Open hood.
3. Disconnect front shock absorber electrical connectors FL015 and FL025 .
4. Close hood.
5. Road test vehicle to confirm squeak noise is no longer present.
 If the squeak noise is no longer present, continue to REPLACE FRONT SHOCK
ABSORBERS below.
 If the squeak noise is still present, do not replace the front shock
absorbers; connect front shock absorber electrical connectors FL015 and FL025
and carry out further diagnosis as a separate Warranty claim.
REPLACE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBERS
1. Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) section 204-01: Front Suspension to replace both
front shock absorbers.
