With the XF, Jaguar has a rival for sedans such as the BMW 5-Series, Audi A6, Cadillac CT5, and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Just as the XE is a BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class competitor, the XF still remains pitted against the 5 Series and E-Class. Whilst it may blend in, that does not make the exterior boring, anyone who stops to take a closer look will recognize this is a very elegant looking car with sweeping lines running across its flanks, and a bonnet scalloped around the dainty headlights meeting a slightly aggressive but still very traditional grill. From the side, the sculpted wheel arches filled with large AMG light-alloy wheels and the steeply raked front windscreen serve to underscore the car’s motorsport character. Up front a large grille gets flanked by sleek LED headlights and large air intakes. S trim uses a supercharged V6 and the SVR gets a supercharged V8.
