The built-in FM/AM radio for BMW 5 series F10 is what you would expect, 15 presets, RDS, Pretty standard stuff here. Opt for the standard F-PACE powertrain to enjoy up to 247 horsepower, or upgrade to the available 550-horsepower Supercharged V8 engine that delivers pulse-pounding performance on every adventure. The design is a very logical one, and it is essentially two of Jaguar鈥檚 hugely successful XK inline-six engines stuck together in a V. Early cars like the one in the video had 5.3-liter versions of the engine, but the engine would grow to 6.0-liters and gain improvements like fuel injection toward the end of its production cycle. Checkered Flag ($47,395) comes only with the 246-hp engine, plus 19-in alloy wheels finished in Satin Dark Grey, body-colored bumpers, black exterior accents, black leather upholstery with red stitching, heated front seats, a fixed panoramic roof, a 12.3-in configurable driver information display and black gearshift paddles.
It accelerates with authority, especially with its top turbocharged engine, and can take curves aggressively. You can see the difference above, and you can’t lower the roof unless the trunk partition (above right) is lowered. The gearbox is very effective being placed right under the driver’s hand adding an ease to the ride. The Sportwagon ($39,330) is somewhat better equipped, adding a 320-watt premium Alpine sound system, a wood-and-leather steering wheel, 10-way power adjustable seats for driver and front-seat passenger, electrochromic mirrors inside and out, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a programmable garage-door opener, message center and trip computer, Reverse Park Control, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The entry model E-Pace ($40,945) has selectable driving modes, push-button start, 18-in alloy wheels, LED headlights/daytime running lights, rain-sensing wipers, heated/self-dimming side mirrors, a rear spoiler, dual-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather seating surfaces, 10-way power-adjustable front seats, a self-dimming rearview mirror, 60/40 split/fold rear seats, forward collision mitigation, lane-keeping assistance, driver fatigue monitoring, front/rear parking sensors, a 10-in infotainment touch screen, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, voice control, a 6-speaker audio setup, two USB ports and four 12-volt outlets.
Our tester was equipped with the Dynamic Handling package, which adds adaptive dampers and configurable drive modes, but we never really felt compelled to play around with them too much. The R-Dynamic SE ($50,195) adds those items. The R-Dynamic S ($47,595) has its own cosmetic additions to go with the more powerful engine and more advanced AWD system. With a host of 2020 Jaguar F-PACE engine options to choose from, it鈥檚 easy to find the new Jaguar SUV that meets your performance demands. It comes in 4 available trims, but the only convertible is the 135i. This specific choice comes standard with a 3.0 liter, I6 engine with 300 horsepower and it is turbo charged. A smooth eight-speed automatic is standard. The R-Dynamic HSE ($53,945) rolls with 20-in alloy wheels, keyless entry, adaptive cruise control with stop/go, high-speed automatic braking, perforated leather seats, 18-way power-adjustable front seats with memory, blind spot monitoring and a gesture-controlled lift gate (a wiggled foot will work).
Jaguar employs a creative solution with the climate controls, providing round dials that you twist to adjust the temperature, push to access the heated and ventilated front seats, and pull to manually control fan speed. Producing 265 HP, it has an electric cooling fan and electronic ignition for enhanced everyday usability, a 1961-style alloy radiator, a polished stainless steel exhaust that produces a deeper tone and a specially developed five-speed manual transmission said to offer greater durability. An 8-speed automatic transmission is charged with putting the power to the wheels. The 2020 Porsche Macan, 2020 GLE and new BMW X5 don鈥檛 offer nearly as much power! The first two rows offer spacious, comfortable, and supportive seating. For 2020, the XE is the first Jaguar equipped with a wireless smartphone charger.
