What鈥檚 the benefit of the Jaguar XE mild hybrid engine? The XE was given a new exterior look for the 2020 model year, so the 2021 changes are focused on the new engine and the interior. It means Jaguar can crank up the standard kit to impressive levels – at a surprising price, given the old HSE started at $80,900 – with features like an 11 kW onboard charger, PM2.5 cabin filtration, and Pivi Pro infotainment on every car. With Japanese dealers stocks, the advantage is the Jaguar F-Type 2020 price, while with the local owners’ stocks you can enjoy the quick delivery and convenience. The new 204hp mild-hybrid diesel is rear-wheel drive, as is the 250hp petrol, while the range-topping 300hp petrol is all-wheel drive. Internally things just get better, with an interior described by some members of the press as the best seen on any production car to date, with swathes of leather and aluminium that is a great compromise between trendy wine bar and gentlemans club, with surprise and delight features such as the air vents that rotate open when you get in, the starter button that pulses red like a heart beat, and the drive selector that rises up from the transmission tunnel like something in a Sci-Fi movie and making it a real alternative to the usual German offerings in the class with the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series and Mercedes E Class. Fuel economy comes in at 14/22/17 with the manual and 15/23/18 with the automatic. As standard the XF comes with a list of standard kit so comprehensive that you’ll be scratching your head as to why you ever looked at that BMW or Mercedes, and looks particularly crisp in the R-Sport trim. Base model cars make do with mere 17-inch rims, and even the E-PACE R-Dynamic trim only gets 18-inchers as standard. There are now five trim levels: S, R-Dynamic S, R-Dynamic SE, R-Dynamic HSE and R-Dynamic Black. The 2022 XF is for sale in the following colours: Cashmere Gold, Metallic Caviar, Claret, Crystal Blue, Indigo Blue, Lunar Grey, Rhodium Silver, Stratus Grey, Ultimate Black, Vapour Grey, Solid Ebony, Solid Polaris White, black Amethyst, and British Racing Green. The optional Night package gives the B-Class an air of mystery, with exterior details in classic high-gloss black.
