CONDITION SUMMARY:
VENEER TRIM DISCOLORATION
Situation:
Some Madrona wood veneer trim may discolor. A UV instability results in trim discoloration to green and a color mis-match with the rest of the

wood trim.
Action:
If any Madrona wood trim exhibits discoloration, refer to the Repair Procedure detailed in this bulletin to replace the complete set of Madrona
veneer trim with Sappele Pomelle veneer trim.

REPLACE FRONT DOOR TRIM AND SWITCH PACK VENEERS
NOTE:
GTR lookup sequence is as follows:

1. Refer to GTR section 414-01 and disconnect the battery ground cable.
NOTE:

2. Refer to GTR section 76.34.01 select a side front door trim panel for repair and perform the following:
^ Remove door panel veneer clips.
^ Remove door panel veneer.
^ Position new door panel veneer to door panel and install veneer clips to secure veneer trim.
^ Remove switch plate veneer retaining screws.
^ Remove switch plate veneer.
^ Position new switch plate veneer to door panel and secure with retaining screws.
^ Refer to GTR section 76.34.01 and install front door trim panel.
3. Perform Step 2 on alternate side un-repaired front door trim panel.
REPLACE REAR DOOR TRIM VENEERS

1. Refer to GTR section 76.34.04, select a side rear door trim panel for repair and perform the following:
^ Remove door panel veneer clips.
^ Remove door panel veneer.
^ Position new door panel veneer to door panel and install veneer clips to secure veneer trim.
^ Refer to GTR section 76.34.04 and install rear door trim panel.
2. Perform Step 1 on alternate side un-repaired rear door trim panel.
REPLACE GEAR SELECTOR LEVER TRIM AND ASHTRAY LID VENEERS
1. If Manual transmission, perform the following:
^ Remove gear selector lever knob. (Figure 1)
^ Remove gear selector lever trim panel from console retaining tangs. (Figure 2)

2. If Automatic transmission, remove gear selector lever trim panel from console retaining tangs. (Figure 3)
3. Remove veneer clips and veneer from trim panel.
4. Partially open the ashtray and remove the ashtray veneer.
5. Position and install the new ashtray veneer.
6. Install the new console veneer to the gear selector lever trim panel, and secure with veneer clips.
7. Install the gear selector lever trim panel to the console.
8. If Manual transmission, install gear lever knob.
REPLACE INSTRUMENT PANEL VENEER
CAUTION:
Care must be taken to prevent damage to the instrument cluster trim panel.
1. Position the steering column to its maximum rearward position.
2. Remove the instrument cluster veneer trim panel. (Figure 4)
3. Install the new instrument cluster veneer trim panel.
4. Position the steering column to its original position.
REPLACE PASSENGER AIR BAG MODULE VEENER
WARNING:
The safety precautions detailed in the Workshop Manual relating to Supplementary Restraint Systems (SRS) must be observed.

1. Detach the passenger air bag module veneer trim. (Figure 5)
2. Install the new passenger air bag module veneer trim.
3. Refer to GTR section 414-01 "Battery Connect (86.15.15)" and connect the battery ground cable.
4. Refer to GTR section 414-01 and connect the battery ground cable.
