Window Global Open Feature Inoperable / Not Selectable
AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:
CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
The Window Global Open feature may be inoperable or not selectable via the High Level Display Front (HLDF). When attempting to
'enable', it may revert back to 'OFF'. This may be due to the Vehicle Dataset being changed, causing the Window Global Open feature to
be disabled.
Action:
In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to enable the Global Open feature.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
ENABLE THE WINDOW GLOBAL OPEN FEATURE
CAUTION:
Ensure all ignition 'ON/ / ignition 'OFF' requests are carried out; failure to perform these steps may cause damage to control modules
in the vehicle.
CAUTION:
A Jaguarapproved Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply must be connected to the vehicle battery during diagnosis I module
programming.
1. Connect the Jaguarapproved Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply to the vehicle battery.
NOTE:
IDS must be loaded with IDSDVD121_V6.05 or later and Calibration File 33 or later.
2. Connect the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) to the vehicle and begin a new Symptom Driven Diagnostics (SDD) session.
3. Follow the onscreen prompts, allowing SDD to read the VIN and identify the vehicle.
4. From the Session Type selection screen, choose 'Service Functions'.
5. Select the Selected Symptoms tab, and then select:

6. Select 'continue'.
7. Select the Car configuration management Current vehicle car configuration modification tool.
8. Locate the Global Open feature in the list; change to Enable.

Follow all onscreen instructions to complete this task.
9. Exit the current session by selecting the Close Session option in the Session tab.
10. Disconnect the IDS and the Midtronics Vehicle Power Supply from the vehicle.
